Telephone Pole Linesman Safety Belt Harness Vintage Tool Extremely Strong UsefulI bought this used in the 1980s when I was rebuilding a home in the mountains. It had a steep roof so I wore this, put a rope over the roof peak and secured to it, it was anchored to a tree on the other side. Then I could stand on roof and lean back, andrappel back and forth as I needed to make the repairs. Worked great. It\'s extremely heavy duty. It was originally used by the linesmen who went up and down telephone poles, the canvas belt went around the pole, and up they\'d shimmy. This one has hung on a hook in the garage for twenty years. You\'ll want to use Murphy\'s oil soap and baseball glove oil on it to clean it up and make it supple, but even now you could just buckle it on and use it. Solid. Massively strong clips and D rings. Holders for tools and a roll of tape. The pictures give an accurate picture of what you\'re getting. Great tool to have. Thanks.
