Here is a Bausch & Lamb Optical Refractometer being sold for a local estate.
I am sorry but I do not know a thing about instruments.
The Refractometer will come inside it's original wooded carry case.
It has a Serial Number of WK 31. and a Patent Number of 2,080,841.
To my eye everything works properly - none of the controls / adjustments are frozen.
On the inside of the door there are several accessories:
1. A small bottle of Alpha-Bromonaphthaline2. A Taylor Immersion Thermometer.3. A small piece of glass marked n (subset D) = 1.5171. My guess is that this used for calibration.
This is a serious / very high quality scientific instrument.
There is no key and the carry case door locket cannot be put into the unlock position.
Overall I would say that it looks to be in Very Good to Low Excellent Condition.
