New Product Pipeline? Anything good coming?

I'm a long-time BB user and the last few phones have been dissapointing - the ATT 9700 BOLD was OK but the ATT 9800 TORCH is horrible in my opinion... Very dissapointing.

My contract is up in November and I'm thinking about making the switch to iPhone... Never had one but I don't know that it can be worse than the 9800 I have. My only concern is the lack of MicroSD card in the iPhone - other than that I'm pretty sold on the device... unless RIM has something worth holding out for.

Is there anything decent coming down the pipeline from RIM?

I'm looking for the following from my ATT device:

Talk over BOTH wifi and cell (like a T-Mobile phone)
Skype
Tether and/or hotspot
Ability to select to push app data from Skype, AIM, gchat/Google Voice over wifi vs. cell
VNC/Remote Desktop compatability
4G

There will be no AT&T BlackBerry that supports your requirements.
I would suggest switching to an iPhone on AT&T as you'd get most of what you're looking for.
Why is a microSD card so important? (Just curious.)

I agree with Penguin. Re microSD card, IPhones 4S are available on 64Gig size so you should have plenty storage but personally I wouldnt switch before seeing the Android Ice Cream Sandwich that should be out on the start of next month. At least you get to choose between those 2 new OSs.
Just my opinion.

MicroSD is important for work. I can make it bootable and the blackberry has no idea - yes I can always just get a bigger MicroSD/USB for my keychain but this provides backup as well as music.

Is the iPhone or the android a bootable USB device?

Not sure about but its of my belief that both are, from what I've found on Google:
* IPhones are only bootable if jailbroken and some other tweaks and program added.
* Androids MicroSD cards are found as external hard drive just like BB ones so apparently is same procedure.

I've never tried myself so I can not comment for sure but apparently works for both, try googling about it and you might get more familiar with the procedures, also not sure they work on new IOS5 or the upcoming ICS from Google Android.

I hope you find something that suits you!

I think maybe when it comes to a smartphone-a BB in particular-you should stick with the model you have for as long as you can. That's what I like to do. That is, until the OS can no longer be updated on it.
