FS: UNLOCKED 8700c - LOWERED PRICE INC SHIPPING

Willing to accept $450 and will throw in 3 day select shipping within lower 48 US states only.

Greetings,

I have a UNLOCKED 8700c for sale, asking $500 US (plus shipping). Complete with orginal box, manual, charger, etc... Ready for immediate shippment.

I am only interested in payment via PayPal.

Email questions or make payment to [email address]

If you are concerned you can check my 100% feedback, as both buyer & seller, on eBay (username: ajvamvakias).

It was purchased from Adam @ GSMPhoneSource on 12/21/06 and I used it on T*Mobile, both domestic & international, without a hitch.

Unit is in great shape and as I said it comes complete

I am going back to Verizon due to coverage issues in my area (7250, boy talk about a step back from the 8700).

Thanks

Hi,

Can you tell me why I would want this? Clearly it must be worth the higher than retail price, but I just dont know why. Thanks!

it is an unlocked Blackberry meaning its not carrier specific, or limited, you can insert a sim card from any GSM provider, domestic or international, and it will work.

Similar units sell for in excess of $500 (see gsmphonesource.com for an example)

But you need a contract somewhere don't you?

Or is the idea that if you already have a contract with a provider, you need to get this because you have to get a contract with any other purchase of a device?

SapperLeader 03-07-2006 11:08 PM

Yes you likely would not need to extend your contract just add blackberry service to an existing plan.

zygut 03-08-2006 04:37 PM

Ok, but isn't Cingular the only provider that can carry what the 8700c does?

SapperLeader 03-08-2006 04:43 PM

No, T-Mobile for one provides it as well and there are others. Again this unit will work on any GSM based network that offers Blackberry.

You might check out some of the other forums, the 8700 forum in particular, for more info.

Are you interested in buying this unit?

datagod 03-09-2006 02:41 PM

Is it still available at the $425.00 price?

SapperLeader 03-09-2006 03:28 PM

Yes it is. Just so you are aware I am traveling today so if you were to buy the earliest I could ship would be tomorrow.

Contract = contractual obligation for a predetermined period of time, ie: 2/3 years. By purchasing an unlocked device, you can activate it on a monthly term and not 'lock yourself' into a contract. Also, you can take your berry overseas and shove a local SIM in for local use.
