RIM AIM Updates?

Been a few months since I have seen anything new posted. Now that Google Talk and Yahoo Messenger have been out for a while, when can we expect to see RIM launch an AIM software?

I've been reading these forums a lot since I got my 8703e and would love to get an RIM version of AIM. I'd much rather have something direct from them than using a 3rd party app. Google Talk works terrific on there!

I've not been given any extra info, but I do know that the service and service book availability from carriers has still not been established. The clients are completed, to my knowledge, but we get to wait on contracts and all that crap. I'm giving it pre-2007, but who knows...

Why not get Ramble to limp along in the mean time?

CableGuy711 11-20-2006 04:24 AM

I've been using ramble, but it signs me off everytime i get a phone call, doesnt resign on automaticly and crashes pretty often =(

Wirelessly posted (8703e (Verizon Wireless): BlackBerry8703e/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

I'm using the GTalk method and it works like a charm!

Yak-On is very good in my opinion, better than Ramble.

Not when you only need something to hold you until RIM free version is released.

It's out for tmobile users: t-mobileapps.com/downloadcenter/Software_Detail.cfm?ID=66

"Application: Instant Messaging (4.46.17) AIM, ICQ, Y! Messenger, and MSN Messenger" Is this what you're looking for?

Thats not what others are referring to...The T-mobile application is Made by OZ communications. What others are talking about are the Research In Motion applications which uses DATA only. The OZ messenger uses SMS or text messages.
