Bb 9300

I bought a handset BB 9300 (checked gsmarena before buying) from craigslist, according to the seller it was unlocked (I did verify when I got home).

When I insert the SIM card I got from Mobilicity I don't see any Mobilicity network. I see 2 CDN Roaming networks (one 2G and other 3G), 1 Bell and 1 from Telus.

I spoke with the guy at the mobilicity store he told me there is a problem with the frequency. "Mobilicity’s network uses a frequency called AWS, with bands 1700/2100."

I was like WTF :x it's not like blackberry removed the hardware before selling to these providers, there has to to be blockage in the software department not hardware, so does anyone agree with me is there any software which can remove this blockage?

Mobility uses different 3G frequencies than Rogers, Fido and Bell. And it doesn't have a GSM or EDGE network.

You need a device designed to work on your network.
