BB software not working and freezing my macs
Dear members
I am wondering if any of you have came across a problem in which after installing Desktop Manager, the sync does not work with the BB (I have a curve 9300 and Playbook) also, it freezes iTunes and the macs don't restart or stay frozen. I can see in the activity monitor something called BBLaunchagent and that process is reluctant to leave no matter how many times I force quit. I have Latest iMac and latest MBAir Lion OS. I have uninstalled them, but it did not work then reinstalled BB Desktop software, then deleted all the rim extensions from library, but without success, the launcher app is still there using my Mac resources I have iMac and MBAir and both having same problem Thanks for your help |

Are you using the latest version of DM?
Never had a problem with my MacBookPro. |

Yes, last version. I managed to remove the software from my iMac and MacBook Air, still the Launchhelper is on my wife's MBA. Upon looking on the Internet, I have seen other people having the same problem, Unfortunately I had to remove the software and won't be able to sync my devices with my macs.

Could be an issue with the latest version of Lion. Wait a week or so to see if there is a new version of DM that is released.
You can try to set up contact and calendar sync with Google. That is what I do. Keeps a couple Macs, a couple PCs and my BB all in sync. |

Last update to Desktop Software resulted in disabling desktop program completely. Went online downloaded new desktop software for Mac using a curve 8530 and once completed connected blackberry and screen came up and stated that "Failed to load configuration files". Removed program multiple times and continue to receive the same message...

You will probably need to find a PC or a friend with a PC and wipe the device with Jl_cmdr (see our FAQ) and then install the OS for your specific device - 8530 (see the sticky at the top of the 8500 for the OS and for instructions).
You must be patient and let it run, as it can take an hour or longer. |
