menu key light stays on 24/7
 

I have 9630 and the call button, menu button, track ball light, back button and end call lightstays all all of the time. Even when the phone is off it stays on. Can someone please help me with this since it is very distracting. I have tried all hints on the internet but none have worked.

When you say you tried all hints, can you list at least a few?

Did you try a Battery Pull> Device ON > Remove battery > Count to 20 > Replace battery and allow to reboot fully

Did you possibly get the BB wet or was it in a very damp environment like a bathroom during a hot shower?

Here is a list
Battery pull when deivce was on
Battery pull let sit for 10 minutes
Replace batery adn reboot fully
Options backlight to 50% battery pull full reboot
Battery pull while device was plugged in and power removed. Counted to 20 and rebooted with battery installed.

I hope that helps and those are all of the tricks or ideals I foound on the internet. If you know more please help.

Sounds like damaged device to me. Moisture, or drop. I would bet on moisture.

For what it's worth, it doesn't take much. That is what stevetaz was getting at above. And flakey keypad and button behavior is a typical symptom.
