Google maps wont download, says wont work with 46

When I goto m.google.com/maps and try to download maps, i get an error saying "sorry, google maps does not work on your blackberry 46"

Im assuming the 46 means os 4.6

Has anyone seen this before.

Subharpoon 08-29-2008 10:24 PM

Yes, I received my new Bold yesterday and have the same error message.

Weird, because I have it installed on my Bold, but if I go to m.google.com/maps, I get the same error message.

Very weird

Change your browser type to 'Blackberry'. The default is 'Internet Explorer', which is fooling their servers in to thinking you are navigating there from your desktop, not your mobile.

If you are getting the same message, how did you get it installed?

carsmovies 08-30-2008 09:43 AM

Install google mobile updater first and then select all downloads which will include google maps.

Cause he had it on previous bb devices and he used the device switcher from desktop manager which will transfer all third party apps to your new device if you wish.

****http://www.google.com/mobile/gmm/bes.html****

Here's the website, just download the rar, and load the alx file into DM. There are 3 different COD for the different OS. Keep 4.2. That should work

jungleland 08-30-2008 02:19 PM

go to m.google.com/gmm

should work no prob

stl_lacrosse 08-30-2008 03:21 PM

clausy 08-30-2008 05:50 PM

dtmfjunkie 08-30-2008 08:19 PM

Is Google Maps working for anyone on the Bold?

Mastiha 08-30-2008 08:39 PM

The program works. It's just that, about three days ago, Google stopped the ability to download it by coming up with that error in the browser.
