"Master Reset" Question

Thanks in advance to all replies and advice/answers. My BB curve 8310 from AT&T will reboot in the middle of a call about once a week. Very annoying. Then it takes about 2min to restart, just like doing a battery pull except without actually pulling the battery. This only happens when talking on the phone.

I spoke with AT&T yesterday and after being shuttled from one department to another, three in total, I finally landed with "voice support" after being transfered from data support and some other CS person. Anyway, they suggested that I do a "master reset." The CS lady sent me a email about how to do this.

My questions are: 1) Has anyone had a problem with the phone rebooting like I described during a phone call? 2) Do y'all think that a "master reset" will do anything to help the problem? 3) I have backed up everything with DM and all my notepad info to Yahoo. Will the DM back-up keep all my settings...fonts, preferences, background pics, and most importantly emails, and address book entries NOT on my sim card?

Let me know what y'all think. AT&T is willing to send me a new BB if this does not work.

1 Sorry have not

2 It's worth a shot

3 3rd party apps are the only thing not included in the backup. All other things that you mentioned are backed up. When you do a wipe it will ask you if you want to include 3rd party apps or not.

Wirelessly posted (blackberry 950)

There are instructions to back up 3rd party apps in the BBFAQ section
