They've invented a simpler way to end a call. Just touch the phone anywhere to hang up.
It's brilliant.

ROTFL, Penguin! 8-)

Between that and AT&Ts random connection facility, this sounds perfect.

It's the customer's fault. They don't understand the engineering innovation.

He's been online. Don't know why he has commented.

Maybe he's still in the que line to get his?

He has it, but can't make a call on it.

And let us not forget the people buying the phones for immediate resale on eBay.

I'm holding off until December to get the new one, by then the hardware kinks should be fixed as well as a new version of the IOS. For now my 3GS is running IOS4 just fine and it's actually faster then it was and battery life is about 2hr's longer.

My mother in-law got her's 2 days ago and said she hasn't had any problems as far as holding it and hanging up but she has a case for it also and also hasn't had any problems with it so far. Now this is a women who if she even thinks there's something wrong, she'll have the apple bar guys heads mounted on her wall if they don't make her happy. There's a lot of people who haven't had any issues with there's in our company and they've tried to repeat the dropped call issue with the antenna, still full bars.

Ohh man. So what categories are on the list now? Security (AT&T's issues). Service (dropped calls, network ... mostly AT&T I guess). Design (screen, antenna, non-scratch resistant glass). Now Quality Control. Is there anything left?

I'm not an apple hater. Just an amused observer.

I did learn about gorilla glass from following the story, which in a way was interesting with regard to something else.

Y'all are killing me!

Where's Argon by now? This is his thread, afterall. Is he a spring and summer soldier?

NJBlackBerry 06-25-2010 01:32 PM

He and the other cultists are gathering in Jamestown.

JSanders 06-25-2010 02:19 PM

Argon's back now.

Y'all are in trouble!

Don't have one yet, so I can't speak to the issues. That being said, I never buy a new product when it first comes out, too many bugs. If the antenna issue on the iphone 4 turns out to be a design flaw, then someone didn't do their homework and shame on Apple. Form over function sometimes backfires. And even though I like the iphone, if ATT released a decent Android phone, I would probably get it to see what its like.
Glad to see that everyone was worried about me ;-)

JSanders 06-25-2010 02:23 PM

Dang, Argon that was a real buzz killer. We're expecting more from you.

Sorry. Maybe I'll try and work up some fanboyism for later. Seems to be a big hit.

Yeah, that was a let down.

Anyway, it's a fun and interesting story to follow.

NJBlackBerry 06-25-2010 02:33 PM

They are going to throw you out of the Union.
So disappointing.

TBOLTRAM 06-25-2010 04:24 PM

Again, this is funny on too many different levels.

I wonder how long it will be before google tries to buy Apple. Think about it.
