Help! Playbooks volume keeps reverting to absolute max!
 

Ok
so before I write anything I apologise if the same issue has been solved elsewhere
Basically when watching anything, or listening to tunes wether its with or without headphones...suddenly decides to go max volume and just about deafens me!
As soon as I start to turn volume down, it reverts back to max volume... I love my playbook, it's saved my ass now that my laptop has met its early demise. But now I really don't like using it cos whenever I do it harasses me with loudness that's just too much to bear

Has anyone run into the same issue as me? Can it be fixed?

Could be broken or dirty contacts in the button. That is my guess. I'm not sure how you would clean it. Actually, my guess is it is broken.

Try a reset. Hold the power button and the up and down buttons all at the same time, assuming that volume button works. After the PlayBook reboots, test the volume button.

if its the buttons you can replace it fairly easy with youtube videos and that part is on ebay often
