Super App Challenge
It defeats the purpose for RIM to award prizes in the Super App Challenge if the following applies:
1. Winners have to wait four months for the prize. 2. Prizes are networked locked and can therefore not be used outside the USA. Worst is they just don't seem to care. It leaves a foul taste in the mouth and may very well lead developers to focus their efforts on manufacturers who value the developer community. 0/10 for RIM. |

Re: Super App Challenge
Look...
He is saying what i think it is... RIM hosted a event that called Super App Challenge and there whas a price for the winner(s) ... i geuss the event is now over sow RIM annouched the winner(s) and i dont know if they already published the Apps but the winner(s) are still waiting for the price.. Sow with other words... RIM doesnt take this kind of "things" seriously ... Let me just drop it... Do you really think the Higher ppl of RIM are going to care? They just making money with your Products and taking advantage of it thats why they claim the copyright gives you a small % of the profit and your out of the scene |
Re: Super App Challenge
Developers may just be willing to give RIM a chance with the announcement of the Playbook, QNX and so forth.
RIM should be heading straight to the developers of top 20 iPhone and Android apps and handing them a pile of money to port their apps to the BB platform, instead of these half-measures. Without apps the BB platform is destined to become the OS/2 of the smartphone era. |
