Hi,
Just bought a Cradlepoint PHS300 for my BB 9900 recently locked-in 2Y Contracts with TMO

it works the 1st time when i connected with BB9900 & device displayed / showed "Modem" mode, after tested 4 couple hour surfing Internet from one location but doesn't work any more on another different location?!?!

(Device show 4G on both locations, Modem mode won't even show up on my BB the 2nd time tried connecting to this PHS300 router)*

Firmware updated as soon as received via download from cradlepoint site

Anybody from here do you have any technical - experience with it?

I believe the new release of BB 0S 7 will support making the BB a hotspot router without using something like the cradlepoint.
"The new operating system also adds mobile hotspot capabilities and support for Wi-Fi calling."

I have been using all these features after I posted this, I kept cradle point since it allow me to share Internet connection with anyone around me!

All of your mentioned above are working perfect for me, family members and friends!
This BB-9900 Rock!!!

Hi ... I just ordered my 9900 and am reading about t-mobile hotspot/tethering charges. Did you subscribe to that option? If not, what firmware version are you running on the 9900?

I can currently tether using USB cable and bb desktop on my 9700 without additional charges. I was thinking of this device so I cn hook up my ipad2.

Im using same OS version when I got this from TMO back in September 2010 (7.0.0.250) and :smile:have never attempted update or make changes.
(Until I read something solidly tested and proven working)

So never updates your device is my advise to all BB users but of course always a user's choice / option on this, One's prefer!

It's not my BB 9900 setting that matter, TMO currently working on portal pop-up hotspot home page / url once the setting detected from user's action on using the wifi / hotspot ( whatever that prompted the default home page to display for more information on Charge, Click Next or press enter, LOl!) it didnt happen to me' yet!

All BB devices will get the same treatment sooner or later, as TMO, they've done on the android phones devices ONCE they've tested with the "updates" roll out next from BB and for all TMO subscribers.

Don't judge or ask me where / how I learned the info and my point of view and i have no intention in challenge any experts nor disrespecting the users at this forum
