8520 curve problems im facing(help me)
 

hello

im using bb 8520 curve.i bought this phone from bangkok but im living in dhaka,bangladesh.

problems:

1.from bangladesh i cannot connect to the bb server so im not allowed to download any free apps from appworld by using the phone or via pc.where can i find those softwares for free??

2.i tried to update my phones software to the latest one 5.0.0.1728.
i downloaded the file and followed every instruction very carefully.but the update didnt took place i dont know why.i am not using any bb carrier plan bcuz its very costly here in bangladesh.so if there is another way to get this new version plz let me know.

3.google maps is not working...it worked in bangkok

4.the phone is saying i have bbmaps installed bt i cant find the maps icon anywhere.

5.im downloading the new version from bb server...they asked me which carrier i use and i selected grameenphone..now after downloading if i install the software on my phone can i use use it normally coz im not using any bb tarrif plan...im reaally very confused should i go for update or not..

1. Alot of app world apps are only available in app world. your only other option is to google the name of the app.

2. you cannot upgrade to OS 5 without BB data plan.

3. it requires BB data plan
