No GPS + Wi-Fi ?!?! True?
I called Rogers and was asking them about the Thunder, and the rep told me that they have every intention of carrying it when it's released. Is it true that the device won't have GPS or Wi-Fi in it, or has anyone else heard differently?

It will have GPS but won't have wifi.

Chances are Verizon will cripple the GPS and charge for it as well...

Storm is BlackBerry 9530... Thunder is 9500. Different model numbers = Different device. |

Sorry, but I am confused : STORM is wifi or not at all ?
|
no wifi on the storm at all.....
|
Storm is both devices. Thunder is the internal name.

It's really too bad - you would think any new device should come with wifi and gps standard. Whether or not a carrier makes you subscribe to use the feature, RIM should consider wifi and gps to be minimum requirements these days.

RIM manufactures the devices based on carrier needs/specifications. Why would RIM build in functionality that the carrier wouldn't use or want? |

Enough to say that...Apple Iphone IS wifi. All my customers (mainly lawyers) will scream at this point... :((( |

Why the hardware will remain idle ? I disagree. There are many situations where there is no GSM, no 3G, an only wifi access. Not speaking about international roaming. I agree with kjjb0204. It should come with wifi as a standard now.
