Has The Price Gone Down?

I was at Best Buy yesterday and saw the Tour for $99 with new activation, and $149 for an upgrade. Did I read this right?

Thanks,

Mike

Best Buy does this all the time. I think they cut their commission so they can sell more units. They had the Storm for 129.00 from time to time before the Storm dropped down to 99.00. I donxxx8217;t see the Tour dropping for at least 3 to 6 months. The only way it may drop sooner is if something new comes out or ATT drops there price on the Bold.

BestBuy.com has the phone for $99 with a new plan, looks like you read the promotion right. http://wireless.bestbuy.com/r.aspx?R...rizon+Wireless

It's the first I've heard of it.

Why would someone buy at a VZW Store rather than Best Buy? You get the lower price and the same plan, right? It's a win-win-win.

I think the problem with that is you are a Best Buy customer and the Verizon store can’t help you. Resellers have to service and take care of their own customers. I think that Best Buy will also try to make you take the extended warranty. So if you don’t get the best buy warranty after 30days, if your phone breaks they will have it fixed. I don’t know if they even give you a loaner or not. Verizon store will exchange your phone for free for the first year as long as you didn’t get it wet. Again I know how must resellers work but I don’t know how good Best Buy’s is?

I had a terrible experience after buying my Storm from best buy. And verizon didn't want to help me at all "They said go to best buy" .. To me it's worth paying the extra money to buy the phone directly from Verizon.

Same here, had issues a few years ago. With what VZW gives you in service at the Corp. Stores, I would never go any where else.

I agree. I would never buy a cell phone from a non-cell phone retailer. If you go to a company owned say Verizon store they will set you up, get your email going etc and transfer all of your contacts too.

Thanks for the info, didn't realize that VZW won't service phones they didn't sell.

I will just order it online via VZW website.

Good Choice IMHO ... I even went as far as trying to cancel my account (8 Year + VIP) ... Didn't matter, had I bought my storm through a verizon store they would have easily got me into another phone.
