Problem with BB 8707v (maybe battery)
 

Hey,

i just received my first blackberry and was really excited to use it; but somehow i can't turn it on..
I pluged in the charger, and all i get is this:

A battery with a blue slash

should i just wait until it's fully charged? or is it a hardware problem?

You may need to give it time for the battery to charge. Or maybe battery is a goner. Do you see any improvement by now?

I have only one experience along these lines. Bought a new battery. Put it in the BB and got the 'no battery' indicator. I removed the battery and then with the BB plugged into USB I replaced the battery. BB booted up to the home screen. Battery was down on empty, so to speak, but it charged. FWIW.

let the battery charge for a couple hours. Then try to turn on.
