Any alternate program for ADPCM?

Ok guys sorry if this is a repost, but I have done every search imaginable for the last 2 weeks.

I have a website with about 350 mp3 tones. I want to convert them for the Blackberry 7100g. I don't want to spend half of my life doing it (ie, one-by-one).

I have read - ADPCM Ringtones [True Audio Ringtones for 7100 handhelds] - NOT FOR 7100i.

I am having no luck with Philips MPT. Does anyone know of an alternate program that will convert MP3-WAV-ADPCM and also allows batch converting?

If someone can find me the codecs for ADPCM I may try to make a program myself as I have programming experience.

Thank you in advance.

I'm with you! I've had no luck so far making my own ringtones for my 7105t.

I've done some digging and found that the Oki ADPCM format is just the ITU-T G.721 standard, which has been superceeded by the inclusive ITU-T G.726 standard.

They have also put some C code together for a sample codec:
http://www.itu.int/rec/recommendatio...nt=T-REC-G.191

However, both of those are not free or cheap. The software package is like $50 USD. The SW manual is free though.. worth looking at.

Another site I found has a G.726 codec in C for free here:
http://www.dacsindia.com/products/g726.htm
http://www.dacsindia.com/downloads/downloads.htm

You have to sign up and they send you the download link, but I haven'y recieved anything yet.

This format dates back to 1988! So I'm really suprised that there is not more info and utilities out there for it.

Keep me in the loop if you find some codecs. I'm interested in coding something up as well ;)

EDIT: Here's an interesting little demo showcasing the ability to convert from WAV to G.726 (ADPCM) and then from G.726 back to WAV... you can even use your own files... too bad it doesn't have a G.726 output.

Ok, here's at least one really nice alternative:

http://www.simprit.com/miniringtone/index.html

It's $25, and it uploads directly from the software to their servers.. and emails you with a link. Not bad at all, but for someone that wants to start up their own RINGTONE WAP, this is still a bit of a challenge since it doesn't let you save the file. Even if you browse to their site with your computer in an attempt to save the file, it will only let you download it once. I guess if you are hosting it though, once is all you need. However, it also saves the file to your HDD.. just look under the ..\Program Files\miniringtone\ for "minirt.tmp" and copy/rename that to "your_ring_tone.adp" :)

The trial version will do 3 seconds of audio for 15 days.. hmm..

I'm going to keep looking.

Sorry computer crashed, took some time to get everything back in perfect order. Thanks for the input. I will take a look at it and see what I can do.
