A software upgrade for the BlackBerry 8830 World Edition is now available for download! Visit BlackBerry® Software Updates for installation instructions, requirements and other important information.
How to verify software version on the device.
Select Options, then About on the device. The software version is on the third line from the top on the first screen. If your device reads “v4.2.2.66” or “v.4.2.2.148”, you may perform this update. If it reads “v4.2.2.176”, you already have the latest software upgrade available for your device!
Who should perform this update?
• Customers wishing to add functionality such as A2DP (Stereo Bluetooth) support to wirelessly listen to music through the included Media Player (requires optional Bluetooth Stereo Headset, purchased separately).
• Customers wishing to add VZ NavigatorTM functionality to their device, including audible, turn-by-turn directions, and more (additional charges required, visit www.vznavigator.com for details).
• Customer who intend to use their device outside of the United States (requires Verizon Wireless Global Plan/Feature and SIM card, additional charge apply for global service).
Important Information for BlackBerry Enterprise Server Customers
If your company uses a BlackBerry Enterprise Server to provide access to your corporate email, it is highly recommended that you contact your IT department prior to installing this update.

Go ahead and enable the ability to add VZNavigator to your account today, but "oh, well you have to wait until later before your device can run it".

lets get a free month of svc fee's before people see how bad the app/ nav is.

vznav maps dont even come close to the google maps :( or even bbmaps.....

^^^ It's not even that. A2DP is already available in the previous OS.
