Blackberry Flip - Can I customize my home screen icons?

Just wondering, can I customize my home screen by choosing which icons appear on it as well as the order I would like them to be in? The first icon on my screen is the one for e-mail and I don't even use it. I would much rather have my SMS icon there. Can anyone help me out?

While the 'focus' icon is on a particular icon, hit the menu key. You can then choose to Hide that icon or to Move it. That should do it.

I tried the instructions above but nothing happened. I want my browser icon on the home screen and I hit Move and it said "Moving" but nothing happened. It didn't ask where I wanted to move it to or anything.

It don't ask "where you want to move it". Once it is highlighted and you have clicked the menu button and selected move, you just roll your track ball (up, down, left, or right) to the location you want it moved to. You will see it moving as you roll the track ball and then press the track ball to release it.
