BBM is on Playbook
Hey all, updated Bridge for Blackberry has BBM included. No update needed for the Playbook. They have already started rolling out the updates. If I can get a link to the COD files then I will post em.
****Most people have not seen the update on App World, I am hearing that via desktop the install works.**** You are looking for Bridge version 1.0.0.83 BBM will only work with Version 5.0.3.22 or 6.0 Beta if you have that. If you do not see the newer version in App World, then do the Alt+RST If that does not work, try a battery pull. |

Re: BBM is on Playbook
I did the update, on both my 9780 and my Playbook, and I am able to indeed see the BBM icon :) Whenever I hit it it fails to launch :(.
Any ideas? PS. I did reset both devices. |
Re: BBM is on Playbook
You have to reboot your PB.
Oh, it seems you did. Then I am not sure. Installing new BBM now. Will see what's going on. |
Re: BBM is on Playbook
Seems to be working. I did have to reboot both after deleting the pairing on both devices.

Re: BBM is on Playbook
A small review of bbm...
-No Groups are visible in Bridge mode. -I seem to be missing some contacts. I think we are still on each other's lists, just not visible on my bridged contact list. -On the first time using your bbm on the PB you may experience the spinning green circle of dread. No worries, just reboot. It only seems to happen when the PB initiates the bridge. As opposed to you initiating it from your berry. -Pretty snappy so far, though I have yet to see any of my bridge apps slow down. Hitting the dialogue box causes the keyboard to come up, and the viewable chat area is resized to allow for a somewhat smaller view of; Contact List, Keyboard, Current Chat, with sent msgs appearing in your timeline and in the contact list. -Sent msgs are tagged with D for delivered and R for received. -Cannot see Status changes of others in real time. -Tapping your information (Top of Contact screen/Left side of PB) will bring up your information; Display Name, Personal Msg, Status(Can only select Available or Busy), PIN, Timezone, Location, PIN Barcode -Next to the input bar is a smiley face, for uhmmm smiley faces, and a small box with an arrow. You can choose PING, Multiperson chat, and File Transfer. Still playing. |

Re: BBM is on Playbook
Yup, works but I had to upgrade BBM to 5.0.3.22 (as specified), and had to un-pair my Torch from my PlayBook before AppWorld would upgrade BBM.
