Maps and Google maps
 
hey i have blackberry curve 8310. Last week i just update my blackberry after done updating my blackberry i check my phone there is no blackberry map/gps but when i check at Option>Advaced Option>Application >Blackberry Maps>View Properties the modules only got 3 module:
net_rim_bb_lbs
net_rim_bb_lbs_api
net_bb_lbs_resource_en

how to displayed/visible the blackberry map.. IT NOT HIDE

secondly i have google maps v4.0.1 i install it using blackberry desktop manager but when i open the google maps it say "network unaviable:this application requires a data connection and some blackberry devices require configuration to work properly" can help me why?

the last one is how to download blackberry maps to computer? i don't want google maps or something different . i just want blackberry maps? btw i want download it from my laptop to my laptop.. please.

p/s: sorry if my english is bad I'm malaysian. btw my blackberry v4.5.0.55(platform 2.7.0.68)

Do you have a blackberry data plan on your mobile service account? That is, blackberry-specific data service, and not the generic mobile data service or some other data service.

1. If u have a data plan then request for services books from your mobile service provider.
2. Otherwise make sure u have your Options -> Advanced Options ->TCP settings set properly: the APN and any username and password.
3. If 2. above doesn't work downgrade Maps (Options -> Advanced Options -> Applications -> Blackberry Maps, Menu -> Delete) and install an older version, search for it under www.blackberryforums.com. I doubt you will have to go this far.
4. Did you know that Google Maps now gives directions wherever it shows roads?

I didnt know you can install google maps through your desktop manager. I thought only OTA (Over-The-Air)
