double contacts entry
 

Pearl 3g, 3uk, using Googlemail/calendar/contacts

I have two entries for every contact in the phone. Deleted the duplicates last night and hey, they are back today. No duplicates in the google calendar.

All worked fine when I set up the account - although I did have existing contacts in from previous account - which will have been identical. Was thinking just to delete all off the handset and let google fill it again ?

Any thoughts ?

I would try merging them in Gmail, via the web interface.
Do you have duplicate entries in Gmail as well?

well heres what I did, as its now fixed. I deleted all the contacts on the blackberry, having made sure they were correct and backed up on gmail. Overnight they appeared and are correct in the bb too. Not sure why the duplicate did occur, but it is fixed nicely.
