New App Released: BBSmart Alarms Pro!

Hi All,

Here at BBSmart wexxx8217;re proud to announce the release of BBSmart Alarms Pro, a visually awesome (if I do say so myself) and feature packed multi-alarm application for the BlackBerry!

Using the native BlackBerry alarm application it is only possible to set one alarm and itxxx8217;s also pretty restrictive in many other ways, so we felt there was a need for some software which doesnxxx8217;t cost you an arm and a leg, is reliable, and works on all the most recent BlackBerry models.

We also wanted to make the application fun and easy to use, while at the same time not look like it was made in the 50xxx8217;s (there is a lot of BlackBerry software out there that is guilty of this!). So we designed it to be super simple to get in, set an alarm, and get out as fast as possible. Visually, everything is big and bright so when you wake up bleary-eyed in the morning to stop the alarm youxxx8217;re not squinting to make out the details on the screen!

We really hope you like it! Please visit the information page if you would like to learn more about it and head to the download page to try out the free trial.

As always, wexxx8217;d love to hear your feedback! If you have any questions not covered on our website or in the user manual, please donxxx8217;t hesitate to contact our friendly support team! Or, simply post away here and Ixxx8217;ll be around to reply :)

definately looks like another quality product for BBSmart (y)

don.new 04-23-2008 08:32 AM

Really nice! But it should integrate with the BB profiles, or at least have an ascending volume option. Looks great too!

rDeuce 04-23-2008 08:45 AM

Looks good!! Downloading trial now =)

Thanks for the great feedback Don. We had given some long thought to integrating with profiles, but a couple of beta testers talked about how this can be confusing for some people so we didn't end up putting it in. If there is enough demand for this, it's definitely going in (free upgrade).

Great idea with ascending volume. It'll be in the next version!

eZainny, I went to the site via my BB's browser and dl'ed the program OTA. After it successfully dl'ed I didnt' see an icon on my desktop so I did a hard reset (battery pull) and it still wasnt' there. When I went to the applications list I didn't even see it listed there rather I saw "SmartView" which I had no clue what that was. After opening that I saw "SmartView the smart way to view email from BlackBerrySmart". I clicked on the correct link so what gives?

I didn't even feel the need to try it first before buying this product. I know it's going to be another great feature to use and have already sent out an email to everyone using BB's at our company letting them know about this.

rDeuce 04-23-2008 09:09 AM

On another note, I am going to keep the Smart Viewer thingie (me likes), but still, how do I get the alarm app?

JSanders 04-23-2008 09:13 AM

Smartview is the BBSmart email view application.

I've since figured that out, but I don't even know how I got to that b/c I followed the link for the alarm app....can anyone help me with a diff link perhaps? :?

eZainny 04-23-2008 09:20 AM

Hi rDeuce,

Hmmm...I'm not sure what happened there! The direct OTA link to the trial version of BBSmart Alarms Pro is:
http://www.blackberrysmart.com/apps/...tAlarmsPro.jad

( it's a bit long so you can also try http://tinyurl.com/5da9hq )

Let me know if you run in to any troubles with the above.

Okay thanks I will try that.

mickeykool 04-23-2008 10:03 AM

will this work w/ the beta 4.5? I noticed the bbsmart doesn't work thou.

eZainny 04-23-2008 10:31 AM

Hi mickey,

To be honest I'm not sure if it will work on the OS 4.5 beta...Since this OS has not been formally released by RIM and there are probably like 30 different sub-versions floating around it's not something we can practically target. Please feel free to give it a shot however and report back...My hunch would be that it should work OK provided RIM didn't break anything :)

ezrunner 04-23-2008 10:59 AM

Okay I have this now

I love the quick alarm feature!!!! 1 minute all the way to 99 minutes

Ill never burn anything again

more info to come

I do like the interface as well

rDeuce 04-23-2008 11:52 AM

Okay so I got it and I love it! Yay! Thanks for this program!

Audit

This is an excellent Product Like you there really was little doubt in my mind

Already actively using this product

Might be nice to: create alarm, push Back button, ask to save. Lots of apps work that way. Now, pushing Back exits but does not save the settings, and unless you have saved it it's gone, but you don't know that unless you re-enter the app.
