All was right, now suddenly wrong. Why ?

Hi all,

My configuration:
BB 8310 Plateform version 2.5.0.21 BB version 4.2.2.154 + Curve 8900
BES 4.1.4.15 windows server 2003 R2 SP2
Exhange 2003 (6.5.7638.1) Windows Server 2003 for SBS SP2

All was rigth for more than one year. We change terminal one week ago it was working fine during last 7 days.

Yesterday, the blacks stop to work: No synchronization anymore. I have restarted the computer server and two services failed to start: "BlackBerry Policy Service" and "BlackBerry Dispatcher". However, they start successfull when I do it manually with the service manager. But at this time, no synchronization.

Any idea ? (hum... of course, here, it's the big panic  because the managers are abroad and need their mail...)

The BBcheck info if it can help.
Thanks in advance,
André.

Before looking any further in your BBCheck results, I see your CDO and MAPI32.dll files are way out of date. There is a good chance an update has knocked you out due to this state. I would suggest the following to get you at the latest level before you look for a fix -

1 - Patch your Exchange and BES boes to the latest CDO and MAPI32 level (6.5.7654.12 I think).
2 - If you can, also upgrade BES to the latest SP and MR.

The issue will probably dissapear after you do that but if it doesn't, at least you are at a supported level before we do anything else.

Hi Stuwhite,

After some investigations, issue may be caused by an idiot: Our vendor may have ask to our provider to stop the business mail server option :x
Why ? Don't know ! But it's probably more an office problem than a technical one...

The Option has just been reactivated and we have to wait until tomorrow to confirm the issue. So I'll be back tomorrow to tell you if it's ok or not before updating anything. (but updating stays a good thing to do anyway ;-))

Thanks.
André.
