Malware on playbook

Adchoices ads keep showing on my playbook. How do I remove this aware. I can find methods online to remove this malware from all other browses (Chrome etc) but not for playbook. Can anyone help? Thought playbook was immune to such threats

Delete your browser cookies, history, Cache, Local Storage, etc. That should stop it. You can do that in Browser > Settings > Privacy & Security - Clear All.
Also turn on pop-up blocker.

Thanks to everyone for trying to help me but none of the suggestions have worked. Adchoices primarily turns up when reading my newspapers. I have not downloaded any apps in the last six months and only from blackberry world. And books from Amazon. Guess BB playbook is not a immune as suggested

That's got to be a "feature" of whatever app you're using when it appears.

Yes, if you are using a free app, it might be ad supported - that's the most likely reason. Or maybe the site you are using has pop-ups that aren't stopped by the pop-up blocker. This is adware, not really malware.

If Adchoices is showing in the PlayBook browser, you could try one of the third party browser apps. There is one called Secure Browser that I think can block ads.
