password manager for BB?

Is there a password manager program like ewallet for the BB?

http://iliumsoft.com/site/ew/ewallet.htm

This is a great program for my ipaq and would love to know if there is something similar for the BB.

Yep,
CriptMagic is available for that sort of purpose, passwords, credit card numbers, etc.

Also, take a look at eSafe from Dynoplex http://www.dynoplex.com/eSafe.shtml for around $30, and I believe it has a pretty good desktop companion.

 Do I smell vast knowledge of the 4.0 OS?

Around a week or two ago someone posted a link to a zip file that had all of the presentations handed out at WEP. There were a number of presentations describing 4.0 in great detail. I believe it was on the RimRoad forum, under a thread discussing WEP. Find it...Read it...Live it :D

When can we expect it for NEXTEL 7510 with BWC?

I believe its been confirmed that this will be inlcluded in 4.0. I didn't think this would be useful at first but then I remembered the millions of e-mail addresses I have and accounts of sorts.

Been using eSafe for a few months after using Passwords from Magmic. eSafe is an improvement, but still a bit clunky. I do like the desktop companion though. I bought it for $19 before they had the desktop software. It's now $29 WITH the desktop software.

I assume that the password manager with OS 4.0 does NOT include a desktop companion...right?

Anyone used eSafe that now has 4.0 and can compare?

Thanks

Jeff

There should be a password to access your passwords. Anybody else like this idea? Is this already implemented?

Is it just me, or is the esafe section of that website down?

grr, can't get this thing to install. keeps telling me i need the latest version of handheld software install...something about them and the desktop software not matching? However both my bb and desktop software ARE the latest versions.

kirson 09-15-2004 05:53 PM

I have read about this issue before -- in this forum. Do a search for "esafe" and "dynoplex" and maybe even "sergey" -- I believe Sergey posted the answer...

Well with eSafe, now eZcase...the program is password protected. I guess it would not be a good idea to keep THAT password in the program and forget it.

Jeff

ALL of these programs are Password protected. Otherwise they are nothing but a HUGE problem waiting to happen.

OS 4.0 has a pretty good password manager, but no desktop companion as of this writing. At least not that has been made available yet.

I guess you could add the password to the Passwrod Protection program INTO the Password Protection program, but you'd still need to remember it on your own in order to get INTO the program in the first place :)

I think it is probably worth the money to get the Dynoplex program -- enterring all of my password information on the handheld is simply not going to happen in this lifetime.

Anyone want to comment on how easy the import is from another program?
