Rings while in holster
 

I had an 8830 and now have a 9650. When setting up profiles I was able to set up phone profiles if it was in the holster (ring and vibrate).

If my 9650 is out of holster I will get x amount of rings. However, in the holster it only rings once. Settings are definitely different from the 8830.

What am I missing in setting up the phone to ring x times while in the holster?

All settings for the phone ringer are set through Profiles. You can't set the number of rings, but the device will play your ringer until you answer or mute the ringer. Longer ringtones = less times played. A lot depends on the ringtone itself.

Hey Rambo47, thank you for the reply. I do know that these settings are through Profiles. I was looking for the settings associated with the hand held while in the holster. There doesn't appear to be one specific to "in holster" as there was in the Profiles on my 8830. I only get one ring when it is in the holster. At this time I am thinking they forgot to include this programming in the Profile settings.

If you're editing the Normal profile, there is a line for "Play sound". You can choose In Holster, Out of Holster, or Always. That's the limit for it though.

You can create a custom profile though and set it up any way you want.
