SMS not working with ATT on Storm
 

Hi,

I just bought an unlocked Storm 9530 and am trying to use it on AT&T. I can make and receive calls fine. However, I cannot send any SMS. It complains on 'Unidentified subscriber'

I have already changed my APN to wap.cingular
and set the APN username: password: CINGULAR1

What could be wrong?

SMS is phone related, not Internet, so the WAP settings don't matter. Do you have SMS enabled on your account?

SMS service center not saved on Blackberry 9530

Just thought of writing this as some one could save lot fo time if they had the same problem. I have seen this issue coming up in different forums but no one has come back to say how they got the issue resolved, which would have hepled others.

I use a Verizon BB storm 9530 unlocked. I use it on Dialog Telekom Sri Lanka (3G GSM) Firmware v4.7.0.148 .I use a Generic Data 3G broadband package (200MB for ~ $3)

On inserting the SIM I could make and recieve calls & SMS , but coludn't send SMSes.
When I tried to set the Options>SMS>Service center to +9477000003 ( for my network) it saves but when I check again it is not saved! I knew it works with my service pakage since it worked on the peral 8110 from which i shifted to Storm.

ANSWER was : It was with the SIM card . I was using a 16 in 1 Magic sim to copy multiple connections which i can change between from the phones setup menu. With this SIM it didn't allow me to save the service number. BUT when I used the original Dialog SIM, I was able to save.
