BlackBerry Application Center

I can see the above application listed in my Application list as Add On item but I cannot see/find an icon of this application in my menu, I even search inside each folder and still can't trace an icon of the application.

What could be the problem ? Appreciate any advice.

Application center is an app that blackberry have included so that carriers can deliver content they approve for you to use (games, apps etc).
From my awareness, practically no carrier is using this.

It is not available in every country yet.

the Application Center here I am referring is not The BB Application World where you can download games and software.

This Application Center I am referring is a program to monitor the version of your add-on software such as BB Messenger, Yahoo Messenger and so forth. It will tell you if the current version of the software you installed is the latest.

So was I.
Last I read about Application Center, it was a way for carriers to offer content.
Its part of the OS, but is almost never used.
There's very little about it online.

Thanks. The funny thing is I saw this software is installed in the application list but I didn't see the icon in the menu. When I use 9000 Bold previously, an icon appears in the menu, in there, it lists down the version no of software you installed (such as Yahoo messenger, Facebook...) and alert you if any newer version is available.

I just updated to OS 5 on my tour and I'm having the same issue, App center started automatically when the upgrade completed, but I tried to cancel it out and it asked if I want to place a shortcut and I foolishly said no. Now I see it as installed, but there's no way to start it as there is no icon/shortcut!
