Constant "The SEcurity of This Connection Cannot be Verified"
 

Hi all,

It seems whenever I am on wifi anywhere but at home, I'm getting constant prompts "The security of this connection cannot be verified". If I choose continue or stop, I still seem to get prompted.

Looking at the details, it mentions the app trying to get through, and the name of the access point (which at the moment is wireless.hp.internal).

I haven't changed any settings that I am aware of. Is there any way to stop this? PErhaps I have a corrupt cert installed or something?

Your AP has a certificate on it, which you need to trust on your device. Once you do that, the error will stop.

There some certs with red X's in my cert list, but none match the name above. I checked all cert types.

Others in this office have the same phone as me, but nobody else is getting this prompt.

Those steps are about blackberry messenger and specifically refers to a thawte certificate which was already enabled on my phone. I tried the steps anyway and looked for anything else unusual. I didn't find this HP cert in question. I finished the sync and restart and it didn't make a difference.

I know what the KB refers to. Thawte is an issuer of many of the ROOT/CA certificates on your device. The steps remain the same when syncing your certs from DM.

You obviously do not have the correct cert on your device. You will have to have it imported or sent to you.

Thanks for all the info. Since I appear to be the only one with this problem, I am going to put it on the back burner for now and make sure other BBs, PBs and other wireless devices are okay.
