Mapping Outlook address fields

I have many contacts in Outlook with at least two addresses - business & personal.

When I installed my Intellisync software and sync'ed the 7510 the only address I get is the business address. Poking around in field mapping I see whey...the address fields on the BB are mapped to the business address in Outlook.

I'd like to get both, and even have the BB default to Outlook designated "mailing address" that I've so painstakingly entered contact by contact into Outlook. My Palm T|C was at least able to distinguish that if I could only have one address to make it the Outlook's mailing address.

My thought was to map the BB address1 field to the mailing address in Outlook, then map the secondary address into either another BB address field, or at worst, the user defined or notes sections. But a cursory dry run doesn't map the way I thought. I only get one line of the mailing address. That won't suffice, so I'm open for suggestions as to how the rest of the world does it.

Do you map the business addresses as usual and the second address to the user defined fields? Is so, what about an address that more than four lines? For instance UD1 = Name, UD2 = Street address1, UD3 = Street address2, UD4 = City, UD5 = State, UD6 = ZIP.

Or do you map Outlook's "home address" into the notes field?

Still trying to figure all this out,

John

I was able to do this, but it's been a while.

I think I mapped the home address to USER1 or something like that. It DID work.

Right now with 4.0 that is not an issue. You get the home and biz addresses as well as categories. WOO HOO.

Yes, you can do this.... but if you have a thousand contacts, you should wait a little bit.

BlackBerryOS 4.0 lets me have multiple addresses per contact -- a Work address and a Home address. And Categories too, so it works great now.

Should be out sometime by the end of the year for many carriers, and early next year for other carriers. I am using 4.0.0.124 beta now and it seems to be almost production quality now (not publicly available, unfortunately).
