Seems to be a bit faster. May be an upgrade to integrate you tube.

I don't know.. Seems a bit slower then the last version but I'm still running the 8330 I don't have the fancy horse power you guys got.......... yet :)

This download was 1.2 MB its really getting quite large, these days.

Take a look at you tube item. That may cause an issue whether the channel is opened or not.

Yeah, it was bad enough several releases ago when it hit 1 MB... but it continues to grow... that has to be the biggest (no pun intended) knock against it IMO.

Sigh.. I just can't win lately...

YouTube videos won't play on my Curve. Not threw Viigo or YouTube.com

Hmmm I didnt have problems with my 8330

Jeepman 08-02-2009 08:28 PM

OK.. I went through this thread and even the app Viigo on my Storm. I deleted a few I knew weren't for me and attempted to download the yahoo finance page. I got an RSS or RRS messsage which stated that I didn't have the righht URL.. or something to that nature. There are many others I wanted to do the same with but realize if I could not do it with that one.. it would be best to get the right direction. Whatr must I do to add what links or ( what the right word is) URL that I need
thanks again

Yea, youtube has worked in the past, but it isn't something I use everyday so I can't remember the last time it worked :(

VIOLATOR 08-03-2009 01:14 AM

I had deleted Viigo a while back. It had gotten unbearably sluggish. Just horrible.

I still get most of my RSS feeds on Twitter.

Given the wee amount of native memory I am working with on my 8310 and the increasing size of Viigo ... don't think I will be going back to it any time soon.

Well, a third party YouTube player from App World works, but not the native BB Media Player.. interesting..

I am seeing the feeds are slower and to open an article is time consuming. I prefer the previous version.

Glad I read your post before upgrading! Thanks!

I think Viigo needs to stop dumping in the kitchen sink and instead optimize what it already has!

Agreed. Viigo is good stuff, but it could easily be the poster child for bloated software...

Agreed - first rate - wish they had a "light" version that just did simple RSS.

Agree with that! I had uninstalled it from my Curve a while back, then installed it on my Tour and a couple of days later uninstalled it. It's just too slow for me.

(y) for that.

I would like them to enhance the podcast player - specifically I think they should just use the bb media player instead of the terribly limited one they built.
