BES Filter question

If I want to set a filter to receive certain messages from my boss, do I need to configure the rule on the BB or Outlook. I use a BB 8703e with a BES.

Either on the Blackberry or in Desktop Manager (not in Outlook). This only applies to BES for anyone else reading this. Filters for BIS have to be edited on the BIS site.
