BB vs Apple

I have a bold now, and i did think about getting the apple however now i have the bb i wouldnt change, i like the way it is very easy to update and fix.

One thing i dislike about apple is the way that they always bring out new models, i wonder will bb going down this route because i hope not..

Um... okay. If you dislike Apple for bringing out a new iPhone once every year, you should be furious with RIM for bringing out multiple devices every year.

Wirelessly posted (Its All About the U!)

Then they bring out devices specific for certain carriers. Then you have GSM vs CDMA.

I will be, can they justify the need to keep bringing them out?
Does the market change that quick?

I have a bold so far there is no change, but im sure there will be?

My UK carrier has me into a 18month contract which means by the time that finishes, the other one will be out for ages and the next gen will be out...

Well, the Bold is out (obviously), and the 8900 series recently came out. There is talk of the Storm 2 and the Onyx, plus the Tour just got officially revealed. Additionally, you can still get the 8100 series (Pearl), the 8300 series (Curve), and the 8800 series.

And as akosnitzky mentioned, throw into that mix the different versions of these phones for the different carriers, and you have a huge selection of phones being pushed by RIM.

Will this ever stop? Personally, I hope not. I like to see RIM continue to design new devices. They don't always get it right (8900 flimsy battery cover), and sometimes really screw it up (Storm anyone), but they keep on designing. For example, the Tour looks to me to be a great device, and I can't wait to give it a shot.
