Tour w/ ATT
Hey everyone i know there are already a few posts on the subject, and that you can get it unlocked to work with att, but i was wondering if there was any way to get the at&t service books on the tour because my main reason for using blackberries is the push e-mail and i know it wont work unless you have the service books. Thanks everyone!

It won't work. The Tour is a CDMA device and ATT is a GSM carrier. two completely different technologies in play here.
Your best bet is to wait for a Tour equivilant to be released by a GSM carrier. Then you could get it unlocked for use with ATT. |

The Tour is a CDMA/GSM hybrid, similar to 8830 and Storm. |
While i have seen post that calling in and out works and as penguin3107 pointed out its a quad band phone and thus a hybrid. i wonder if data/push will work when i get my tour i will try it out with a t-mobile simcard and see what happens.

mfadetoblack, let me know when you get it in and test it, that's what i'm trying to find out, whether or not the data/push will work on t-mobile or att

Data is pushed from RIM via the carrier. The carrier is just a pipe. It should work on any carrier you can manage to get a data connection with.
