No Browsers / TCP on 8700g - Proximus Belgium

I have an 8700g on the Proximus net in Belgium on BIS

Everything works fine, except I only have one Browser "Proximus WAP Browser" in the app list. Also the B key does nothing - I have "Dial from Home" turned off & and other keys do what they're supposed to.

I've tried the Host-Routing - Register method - Nothing

Tried removing battery and SIm and reinstalling - Nothing

On the BIS site their is a button to send service books but no button to send Internet/Browser books (I remember their being a button like that when I was on O2 in the UK)

In the Application list in Desktop Manager (v 4.2) the only apps that appear are 3rd party apps that I've installed, nothing else - so no box to check for a browser

What does one do - if anything - to get a browser?

I've tried Opera Mini - but that does not work - with the APN server name "internet.proximus.be" (however I don't have a password and nor have I been able to find one - all the places that list this APN say a password is not required - and the Proximus tech chaps seem to know (or claim to know) nothing about the existence of APN settings)

Your wireless carrier, Proximus, may have disabled Internet browsing on blackberry. Have you tried to call their support to find if this is the case?

1 - Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan
2 - Does it show "EDGE" in the upper right hand corner?

I do have the Blackberry Plan - all other functions - email - PIN messaging - work fine. Doesn't say EDGE because Proximus does not have EDGE - just says GPRS (in caps)

I've called them and all they say is that the Proximus WAP browser is available and I need to go to their homepage and navigate from there. Of course, they charge 0.5 euro everytime you load the page!

Because of the APN issue, I can't use any 3rd party browsers

Look like I'll have to find someone within Proximus who knows what's going on!
