OS: 9530 4.7.0.208/4.7.0.151 (Multilanguage)
BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.7.0.208 (Multilanguage)
Package Version: 4.7.0.208 Consisting of: * Applications: 4.7.0.151 * Software Platform: 4.0.0.186 * File name: 9530AMEA_PBr4.7.0_rel208_PL4.0.0.186_A4.7.0.151_Iu sacell.exe * File size: 107.35MB https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...64F594BF6384D0 **It appears that Iusacell has pulled this .151 from it's download page. Until we find another .151 carrier, I am placing the unofficial link here to the OS on a non-RIM server. This is the identical file which was hosted by Iusacell. I can verify the file is good, as it is the same from which I upgraded. Alternate download site: Deposit Files Instructions for installing either version on ANY carrier's 9530: 1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded. 2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml." 3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file. The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization." If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again and it should load the OS to the device. For the earlier releases of this OS, see: http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ilanguage.html |
I have just finished installing. Thanks...works like a charm.

ATT unlock
If you update will MMS & Browser still work?
|
Better yet, does it hold EDGE?
|
I love this os. More spacing in landscape typing. It has added transitions to closing things. My phone is snappier with less lag. Memory has increased as well. I am coming from .148.
|
crashed awesome
|
Does not hold EDGE for me. I was running .148 with .90 radio file just fine. Oh, by the way, if you install .90 radio file with .151, you'll get a really nice surprise :)
|
holds EDGE for me perfectly, no problems at all

Hey guys
Did you have to "Load T-Mobile Service Books" on this version (JSanders Instruction post on unlocking Data for GSM Storms)? Also, has anyone tried Streaming something, Like a YouTube vid? |
If you upgrade for ANY OS, for Tmobile and ATT users, you will need to load the OS as above, and THEN follow the instructions in the Sticky Post, from beginning to end.

Thanks JSanders. |
Hey guys,
I have an unlocked 9530. I installed .151 and now i'm getting "Sim Card Rejected" msg. I've deleted vendor file. I've checked options-simcard... it says security disabled. I'v checked mobile network. It's GSM-2G... |
When i download the files i get this file information...
BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.7.0.172 (Multilanguage) Package Version: 4.7.0.172 Consisting of: Applications: 4.7.0.122 Software Platform: 4.0.0.153 File name: 9530AMEA_PBr4.7.0_rel172_PL4.0.0.153_A4.7.0.122_Iu sacell.exe File size: 104.43MB |
If this is an official release then how come it isn't avaible on Verizons website, and how come it isnt showing up under Wireless Update on my BlackBerry Storm?
|
Initially after the upgrade, my browser was gone (not the first time that has happened) and I couldn't get a signal at all (yes, the radio was on). Then it crashed after quickly flashing "device error" on the white screen.
However, since booting back up after the crash, everything seems just fine. Memory has definitely increased, and it seems to be holding 1XEV much better. My signal is terrible out here and it usually is constantly going back and forth between 1XEV and 1X, with 1X being the norm. Since the upgrade, almost every time I have checked, it's been on 1XEV, but my signal strength is still right around -100dBm. The poor coverage out here at my house seems to be the main cause for my battery drain, so I'll be keeping an eye on that to see if it has improved at all. So far, that's about all I've noticed that's different. I couldn't care less about the transitions for opening and closing apps. |
How do I know which "Radio Version" I'm using?

Just remove your battery, your SIM, replace it, replace the battery and reboot. Should be gone. |
