missing incoming texts and copy of outgoing

I have one contact that starting last thursday, the text message he will send me, does not show up in my hub. The only way I can see if he texted me is to compose a new text to him, and when I do then his messages will show up in our text discussion. And also when I do that and send him one back it does not keep a record of the text I send him in the hub. For most of my other contacts this wouldn't be a big deal, but since he is an employee I kind of need to be able to see what he sends me, and have a message in the hub of what I send him. Anyone else had this happen and or any ideas as to how to rectify my problem?

PS I have a classic and he has a iPhone, but other people I am in regular contact with have the same phone as him, and they seem to all work properly. I have rebooted mine a couple times and did not change any settings or make any changes to his contact in my phone.

Just a thought, If your not having any issues with anyone else and only him I would delete his contact and any test messages and add him back making sure the number is correct. I had a similar issue and it was corrected by deleting and reloading the contact.
Unless it's his carrier not acknowledging the text which is required for your transmission it's worth a try.

I have classic and he has a iPhone - isn't a issue here.

I would delete the contact - add him again - check for this problem.

I assume tsac proposed the same solution.

Hope this helps!

@tsac - Yup may be a kind of echo. I just read your comments after posting mine.

Have to admit, learnt a quite few from your solutions. that should be the case here for this echo.

Using a non carrier SIM card in a locked cell phone can cause various issues with data and calls. Some carriers wont even allow the phone to connect unless the SIM is theirs.
