Please use this forum to discuss RIM's powerhouse messenger, BBM.

It's very evident that BBM sets BlackBerry apart from the competition in the consumer world.

BBM BlackBerry Messenger = BlackBerry Messenger BlackBerry Messenger.
You might want to consider renaming the forum area.

I realize this. However, BBM and BlackBerry Messenger are both separate trademarks and both separate search terms.

I have changed it to make a bit more sense. Hopefully the change is one you like. :)

I moved to switzerland and took my bb with me it worked perfectly until I removed my sim card now it never works not even with wifi...
The weird thing is that the internet works its just the bb messenger that doesn't
I have tried rebooting it redownloading the bb messenger but nothing seems to work...
I have no idea
If someone could help me with this I would be very gratefull...

You know you can backup your contacts using your email that is enabled on your BB. Then you can restore anytime on a new or old device. east like charm

Hello, recently received this msg on BBM: "Reset code for your picture to start changing 3939281717. Post to all contacts to update your software" . I have been trying to find out if this is legit or if someone has hacked the system. It's not the first time i have received this message. The wait time to Blackberry's Help Line is 25 minutes lately and I don't enjoy sitting on the phone waiting that long. Can anyone provide an answer?

dear all, i have Blackberry 9780 and when ever i try to send a picture from memeory card it would not give me the option to send or size but it would display the picture and all i have opt to exit. All depend from which folder I am sharing the picture from... any clue.

I have been using a BlackBerry for many years and never used BBM. If you have the ability to text your family and friends what the heck is BBM used for? If you can only communicate with other BlackBerry users why would you need this communication platform, not everyone in your social circle uses a BlackBerry? Could someone give me a little insight on the how and why's of BBM? Why do we need it? Thanks, this inquiring mind wants to know.

I've had my BB for nearly a year now, I use BBM a lot when I'm bored but for the 4th time somebody tried hacking my password and after the 10th try it reboots your BB, deletes all info except what's on the Memory Card.
