Unlocked T-Moblie BB on AT&T: How to disable attempt to connect to T-Mobile?

I have an unlocked T-Mobile phone I'm using on AT&T. Every time I reboot the phone I get the T-Mobile start-up screen and I receive a text saying it could not connect. Is there any way to disable these things?

you dont get rid of the startup logo.
