having the same issue with aol messenger as I am with MSN

I am unable to install MSN messenger (well we all know it kind of doesn't exist) BUT I'm having no joy with www.blackberry.com/aim/ or www.blackberry.com/instantmessenger. I have tried on IE on windows, every browser on a mac and directly from my bb 8120. I sometimes get that stupid active x plug in message when trying to view it on my BB browser. Has anybody successfully installed this. Its driving me mad

You should try to take a look at JiveTalk as it can let you sign on to MSN messenger and/or AIM. Saves you the time and trouble.

You can try JiveTalk for a month. And it's just $20 or $30. Time is gold.

the rim chat clients are dependent on vendor, some offer them most don't, and to install require a service book. i would agree jivetalk rocks. webmessenger is free and their are a few others.

no service book, no bes no bis. no emails. But so far have managed to get facebook and jivechat to work. Google maps is a no go though.
