MMS missing after upgrade
BES Version: 5.0.1.58
Blackberry: Tour 9630 previous Version: 4.7.1.61 (platform 4.1.0.75) Update: 5.0.0.975(Platform 4.2.0.424) I currently updated our corporate blackberries via Desktop Manager, and now some do not have the option to send MMS messages. My Blackberry does have the option, but some do not. They were all upgraded using the same machine and procedure. They also all have the same plan through Verizon. The MMS entry is also missing under options, and under SMS. The SMS icon only says SMS, instead of SMS and MMS. Any Ideas? |

Re: MMS missing after upgrade
In OS 6, SMS and MMS are combined. It starts as SMS, and if you exceed 160 characters or send a picture, etc, it automatically changes to MMS.
I understand you're still running OS5, but it's a fairly new version - any chance this has been implemented in your latest OS too? |
Re: MMS missing after upgrade
I have the same problem but it has to do with SMS. I have the latest version of OS6 and don't have the SMS/MMS ICON only a Text Message icon. When I select Text Messages and then go into the options and select Send Text Message I get a screen that prompts for To:. If I try to send a text to somthing like 40410 the device comes back with a message "No matches: 40404. I know this is a good number, any idea how to get around this problem?
If I send it to a phone number or use the contact list it works fine:-( |
