"I" key works half the time...
 

Anyone had one of their keys go bad on the keyboard? My "I" key registers my presses like half the time and it's ANNOYING.

If anyone has a proposed fix, great. If not, I'll take it back and get a replacement...which is a hassle...

i am on my second 9700 bold and i have the same problem as you and as my first 9700. the 'i' key does not work about half the time as well. i have done some unscientific testing and it happens much much much more often (like 90% of the time) when you press towards the lower right corner of the 'i' key if that make sense. (i am not pressing 2 keys at the same time) none of the other keys have the same lower right pressing issue.

I am on my third 9700. On this one, the left shift button only works half the time. I am most likely going to exchange it. Just annoying to transfer all my software.....AGAIN.

I have a similar issue. My "i" key produces 2-3 "i" letters every so often. It seems to be getting better, but its sure annoying.

Funny to read this post. I bought one on release day in Toronto and the "I" key didn't work properly. I had have to push it as hard as I could to get it to respond. Upon exhange, the spacebar had issues so I took the phone back and stuck with my 9000.

Weird- my "I" key only works about 1/3 of the time. I tried to put on a light layer of rubbng alcohol- didn't help.

"B" is intermittent for me. Just went to the ATT service center today. None in stock so they ordered me a new 9700 and I should have it tomorrow....
