9630 in the U.K.

Is anyone in the know aware of when, or if, this will hit the U.K. ?.

It would be a damn good BlackBerry for our sales guys who over the course of a year visit allmost each part of the globe (and I could then ditch our 8707G's :) )

It won't ever hit the UK. Buy your guys Bolds.

The 9630 will be a CDMA device, there are no CDMA networks in the UK.

We'll have to wait for the GSM version of the Tour to come out, (so guessing it's be the 9600/9610/9620 model??).

Then, I'm guessing probably Sept/Oct this year? But that is a total guess on my part.

If your sales guys would seriously benefit from the cdma part of the tour then the thing to do would be to contact vodafone and see if they would be able to get them for you because they are the only gsm carrier with any connections to verizon.

If its just the form factor then the response is a simple one, buy them bolds since it already does more than the tour unless you can use the cdma part of it.

When did it change from a Worldphone to a CDMA only device?

Yeah but they're never going to release the "world" version in the UK, as there's no need for a CDMA unit.

They'll only release the GSM version, that is if one is ever created.

I maybe wrong, it's been known.

Good advice, however, we are with O2 and don't plan to move from them any time soon.

With all the networks supported by it this would be a killer phone for a UK based globetrotter :)

There is a fair GSM contingent in North America, I'm sure your boys would be fine with a GSM only phone.
