Notes
I am selling my Verizon Blackberry 8830 phone. I've only used it for 2 months, and have decided to switch to an AT&T phone. Nothing wrong with the 8830 - I am getting the same phone on AT&T, just better service where I live.

Phone works like new, and looks amazing. You can see a couple scuffs on the back from leaving it on my desk for half the day. My new AT&T phone has the same type of marks within the past 2 weeks I've owned it.

This 8830 is unlocked. That means you can freely with 900/1800MHZ GSM services (like in Europe). Normally, you'd need to call Verizon and subscribe to their Vodafone plans. I left the original Vodafone SIM card in as well. You can see the Global Support Pack in one photo; this phone was unlocked by Verizon, not some web-based business.

Don't like the very common silver or red 8830's? This one is also in a unique black casing, not a typical rubber sleeve or anything. And if you've used a silver 8830, you know how hard the blue-backlit keyboard is to read at night - the black keyboard is backlit in white and very easy to read.

Once again, there's no reason for me to keep this phone anymore, or I would. If you'd like more pictures or info, or make an offer, feel free to contact me. I assume shipping will be about $5, and if it's more, I'll eat the cost.

Sorry, I guess I can't edit this - but can someone please change the title to WTS: Black/unlocked Verizon 8830?

Thanks :)

Willing to ship to Canada? If so, how much?

Thanks,

Gladly...add $10 to the shipping cost, so $15 onto the cost of the phone. If it's more, I'll take care of it. PM me if that sounds good.

Also, you mentioned that it is a Europe phone? (I thought Cingular was US), so would this phone work with the Rogers Wireless network?

Thanks,

It's from the US, and was meant for Verizon. After unlocking, it will work on GSM 900/1800mhz. If it helps at all, that is not that same as Cingular and Tmobile in the US (I've tried).

Anyone else know?

It will only work on Verizon, but is unlocked to work over seas. Meaning you could get a sim card from a local Carrier and use it instead of purchasing one from Verizon.
