Do You still have to take out the battery and the media card to load music on the card because it gets annoying keep doing that?

You can load via USB cable. Just plug your BB into your PC, and drag and drop or use Roxio Media Manager.

Mass storage mode is the easiest, also using media manager works well (usually) and it converts the files for use on the device. Keep in mind the device is only USB 1.1 and can take a long time to transfer large files.
