The best place to take a damaged mobile phone in the United States is to a corporate store for the carrier that sold the device. In your case, this would be the nearest Verizon shop.

Ok, i took it to the Verizon store that was a division of cellular sales. Your saying if I took it to the actual verizon owned store, they would help me?

Yes, they should help you. Third party retailers are not obligated to provide any support.

Don't call. Go to a store. If your phone is less than a year old, they should help.

You do not want to give it to a third party.

It's over a year old.

In that case, they may be able to offer you an early upgrade to a new device. The Z10 will be out next week.

The bottom line is, you really don't want to try to get things like the USB port repaired. It's best to just replace.

There is, but I'm telling you it's not worth it.

I know to the average person its not, but do you still know of a place I could send it to?

I'm sorry that I don't actually know a place for repairing these 9900 phones in your area but I do have a band-aid solution for you.

*** Ooops sorry but I can't post links so you'll need to google this info, look on ebay.

Here is a link to what is called an external battery charger, what this device does is it charges a Bold 9900 battery while it is removed from your device, once it is charged then you re-install it and you have another day of regular use. Probably best done at night so that you don't miss those important calls. Anyhow, it really skirts the problem indefinitely but it's not a bad solution considering you've probably got something like another 23 months on your contract. ;-)
