Can I use my Blackberry ID on two devices?
 

I have two Blackberrys, the new Z10 which I just bought for myself and a fairly new Bold 9900, which is used at work.

:bb: My question, can I use the same Blackberry ID to access the App market for both devices?

I use the same apps on both (I paid for these apps out of my pocket, work didn't) but my workplace doesn't allow me to bring the phone home, so at the moment I am stuck with two phones. I want to use the the same apps on both phones (for the most part).

Yes I realize that the Z10 can be set up to use for both work and personal, but as yet it is not allowed. (n)

The BB ID is to stop exactly what your trying to do.
If the app has issues on a BB it usually is the wrong app for the model.
You have two very different models and should not expect all Apps to work on both.
I can understand not allowing an employee to use a company phone for their own use but not leaving work with it, really different unless your in a high security job. If so then usually the phone is locked for any adds.

You can use the same BlackBerry ID on 2 PlayBooks or on one phone and one or more PlayBooks but not on two phones as far as knos.

Apps for pre BB10 devices will not work on BB10 and vice versa. The OSs are completely different.

You can use the same ID on both. I do it now and have been for a long time. It will ask you if you want to switch phones (when accessing App World) - and you can keep going back and forth with no issues. App World recognizes the device type and will only offer you the apps for the phone you are on at the time you log onto App World.

Another Question: Now can I use the BBM with both as well, without getting into problems? When I set up the new Z10 with the BBM it want's to know my Blackberry ID as well?

Yup...same deal. It will pickup your BBM contacts, but I have seen it screw up from time to time. Maybe they've worked that out now..

We develop and test apps and mobile sites and use test devices all times along with our own phones and tablets.

One more question. While I understand that Apps can be loaded properly on two devices with same BBID, I am still not clear if BBM will stop working on the first device after you add a new device with the same BBID? :?

Existing BB Bold 9650 and New BB Curve 9220 are the two in focus here.

BBM only works on one device on the BBID.

I have 2 playbooks, Torch, Z10 all on same BBID.

I think you mean "one device at a time" right? I use BBM with my BBID switching between, but can't at the same time.
